Founded over 65 years ago, Cincinnati Sound Chorus, the tri-state's premiere treble voices barbershop chorus, is a group of singers who share a love of singing.  Cincinnati Sound Chorus is a chapter of Sweet Adelines International (SAI) and is part of the Harmony Heartland Region 4 of SAI.  Cincinnati Sound performs vocal four-part a cappella harmony, generally arranged in the barbershop style.

CSC is 50+ members strong and we continue to grow.  Our members come from multiple generations and varied walks of life, from 20-something (and younger) to past retirement age, from student to professional, from highly trained musician to well-attuned amateur.  We continually strive for musical excellence through the education gained in weekly rehearsals and public performances.  We compete each year at the Harmony Heartland Region 4 annual competition, alongside other Sweet Adeline choruses within the region.  This competition allows us to advance to the international competition, depending on our rankings.

Cincinnati Sound Chorus recognizes and values people of all backgrounds, life experiences, preferences, and beliefs.  We will sing music that is all inclusive and are committed to challenge and remove bias of all races, gender, orientation, and all marginalized groups.

With a rich history of achievement, CSC has been International Champions a number of times in our past.  CSC is home to many Quartet Champions, as well.  In 2007, we won the region and in 2008, competed at the international contest in Honolulu, Hawaii.  In 2012, we earned a silver medal in the World Choir Games here in Cincinnati.  Most recently, in March 2024, the chorus placed 1st in the AA Division and 1st Overall at the Regional Contest earning a chance to compete at the international contest in Columbus, Ohio in 2025.
